| How do you feel about this sucker? About one month ago at E3 2011, Nintendo un-veiled their new 8th generation console, the Wii U! Being the successor to the Wii, it still contains motion sensing control and family fun. Since the Wii was a garbage can compared to the powerful PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Nintendo needed to shine their hunk of garbage! Now it has HD 1080p graphics and HDMI compatible, supossedly better online service, and more powerful processors outstanding the 360 and PS3, the Wii U might just be what Nintendo needed to boost up their game. Oh yeah, and the controller! Basically an iPad as a controller! It's a tablet controller with HD touchscreen, motion sensing, and wireless connection, the controller is larger than the console itself. Nintendo hasen't given out a price yet, but we know it will be pretty pricy seeing the controller and all. Being released in 2012, what are your thought's on the Wii U? Will you be picking up one yourself? I personally will be. The Wii was an alright console for a while but you get tired of it. I will get one of these and see just how well it is. What surprised me is that in the trailer ( link here) there was a drawing feature and I knew that's what would have made me get it. What do you think? I am stickying this as the official thread for Wii U (Until the console is released, then this entire section will be renamed)

| Alright. E3 2012 has passed, and alot of things have changed about the Wii U. First of all, we have gotten an approximate release date: December 2012. Right around the holidays! Second of all, the controller has gotten a revamp. Many things changed, such as actual analog sticks, and a couple of new button locations. There are also new buttons, such as the TV control button. And the back of the controller feature an update, where it fits perfectly into your hands. Pretty cool. The controller also seems wider, but that may just be me. The Wii U console is also available in black. Most likely available at launch. This gives people a chance to pick if they want black or white at launch. There are also a variety of neat Wii U games, some of them even launch titles! Hopefully, the Wii U will be awesome! I will continue to post updates on this thread until launch. | |

| It looks pretty cool, although I am not a Wii fan. Maybe I will get one, probably not though. They do look nice and I hope they are fun. | |

| So today, September 13th, 2012, Nintendo revealed the final informaiton about the Wii U:
Release date for North America: November 18th, 2012
There are two sets available at launch.
Basic Set: Includes the white Wii U console and a white Wii U Gamepad. 8GB of flash storage, and the AV and HDMI cables.
Price - $299.99
Deluxe Set: Includes the black Wii U console and a black Wii U Gamepad. 32GB of flash storage, and the AV and HDMI cables. Includes a Nintendo launch title, Nintendo Land, a Gamepad cradle, and a console stand.
Price - $349.99
Confirmed Launch Titles:
-New Super Mario Bros. U
-Nintendo Land
An additional Wii U Gamepad will cost roughly around $170.
So what do you think?

| Just to add in, the Wii U has reached around 4.5 million sales! Not as much as Nintendo was expecting, but still pretty good. | |
